Citizenship program in Nevis

Saint Kitts and Nevis was the first country to grant citizenship to foreigners in exchange for an economic contribution to the country.

The program was first established in 1984 under Part II, Section 3 (5) of the Citizenship Act, 1984. A foreign national who makes a donation to the Fund for Sustainable Growth or invests in an approved housing project, can become, together with his or her employees, a citizen of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Investment in an officially approved real estate project
The minimum real estate investment required by law is US$200,000 (resalable after 7 years) or US$400,000 (resalable after 5 years) for each principal applicant.
Donation to the Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF)
Non-repayable contribution to the Sustainable Growth Fund (SGF):
  • US$150,000 – principal applicant, or
  • US$195,000 – lead applicant with up to three dependents, e
  • US$10,000 – each additional dependent, regardless of age

Requirements

  • The main applicant must be at least 18 years old.
  • The principal applicant must demonstrate that he has sufficient funds to make the required investment and demonstrate the legal source of those funds.
  • The main applicant and dependents do not suffer from any contagious disease and/or serious health problems.
  • Clean Criminal Record – Not being the subject of a criminal investigation.
  • Not be considered a potential national security risk.
  • Do not engage in any activity that may bring Saint Kitts and Nevis into disrepute.
  • Have not been denied a visa to a country with which Saint Kitts and Nevis has visa-free access.

Travel to Europe is visa-free, the St Kitts & Nevis Passport allows visa-free travel in the Schengen area, UK, Singapore and Hong Kong and allows you to reside for 180 days in the UK.
